AM1.5 corresponds to the spectrum of the sun, at the surface of the earth after absorption from the atmosphere. 

AM0 corresponds to the spectrum of the sun in space, without absorption from the earth's atmosphere.

Reduces irradiance without spectral modification, useful to perform low irradiance test.
